Ivellios couldn't make out what the ruins said.

Spark walked over to Ivellios and examined the ruins on the staff. Spark was able to read the inscriptions, and made it out to be a magic staff of acid and flame. The group began talking amongst themselves about which way to go next.

Somewhere in the mountains, North of Kaza Tir... the Hermit sat in a hidden library. The library was part of his lair that he had built in secrecy, it was stuffed with magical texts and a few magical items. This library was made up of things that the Hermit had collected throughout his practice as a Wizard. Spells that had been forgotten or that few people knew were amidst some of the pages in those books... though even if someone were to find the location, it would be just as difficult to figure out the arcane language. The Hermit specifically recorded these spells in a difficult way to make sure that only the most advanced practitioners would be able to learn anything from them - and after a great length of studying them at that.

What the Hermit was focused on though, had nothing to do with any of those texts. He was starring into a crystal ball, that was sitting on top of a ...

>>>still writing, check back for further updates later<<<

Quest: Part 1 The Swamps of Claircorn - from game on 3/15/09

Ivellios and Thokk returned to Kaza Tir. They had decided to take on the quest offered by the Hermit, after a change of heart (that the Hermit seemed to have nudged along). They arrived at the Crystal Castle with Silverglade and Zoron, where the Hermit (amazingly!) appeared - as if he had been expecting them. "Finally, you have gained some good sense," the dirty elder preached. The Hermit told them that only two of the four adventurers in their group were allowed to go on the quest. Since Ivellios had originally turned down the quest that they had come back to take now, the kingdom had tried finding another hero - and found someone. The Hermit stated that the new person they had chosen, was still entitled to go and that Ivellios and Thokk would have to accompany him now (adventures are taken for profit and glory and it would make the kingdom look bad to withdraw the opportunity to the other adventurer at this point).

The Hermit only wanted to transport three people to Bulvi's realm, since there was less of a chance for Bulvi and his men to notice the adventurers this way. Bulvi was a good king, but he would most likely seize the adventurers for questioning and even forbid them from the sacred mountain. Bulvi would, without doubt, find out Zoron's true nature as a Red Dragon as well, as he hunted Red Dragons. The kingdom of Kaza Tir could not afford any hold ups.

Zoron, ready to leave on that note, immediately shaped back into his natural, Red Dragon form, right in the middle of town and flew off. He scared some commoners in the area as a result of turning back into his dragon form. Most people were afraid of Red Dragons, since Red Dragons were allied with the enemy, Tarsus - not to mention they were all Evil (with the exception of Zoron of course). Silverglade invoked power within a magical ring he was wearing, which allowed him to fly. "Damn it," Silverglade said, and flew off after Zoron; his work of 'baby sitting' cut out for him.

The adventurers met the King in the throne room, where their future companion would be. There, stood the most Law abiding (and goody-two shoed) Paladin, Spark. Ivellios had previously encountered Spark when he was watching over the King's treasure inside the kingdom vaults. Spark had given Ivellios a couple of speeches about what was right and wrong, when Ivellios wanted to take items from the chamber.

The King thanked Ivellios, Thokk and Spark for accepting the quest they were about to begin. The Hermit, stepped forward into the center of the throne room and slammed his staff into the ground beneath his feet, the sound echoed off of the crystal walls in the chamber and a circle of glowing energy appeared around him. He finished casting the spell and prompted the adventurers to step into the Teleport Circle he had created, when ever they were ready.

Ivellios, trying to bully the Paladin he was forced to travel with, ordered him to go into the circle first. The Paladin, Spark, raised an eyebrow and said, "very well... at least some of us here are brave." Ivellios tried to say something to the Paladin, but he entered into the circle and disappeared. Thokk and Ivellios followed.

The three were transported to a roadway in the middle of unfamiliar grassy planes, it was raining and it was later in the day there. With it being later in the day, they soon realized how far away they had been transported. To the North a large mountain appeared, it was Mount Valorn, which they would have to climb to ask help from the Immortal, IO. But first, they were to delve into the swamps below the mountain. There they were to capture the legendary star stone, which was hidden in a crypt somewhere in that swamp. Once the star stone was achieved they could bring it to the top of the mountain as proof of their heroics and present it to IO, where they would await her response. To the South was a large castle, King Bulvi's home. Ivellios looked at Spark and said, "What is Bulvi?" "A Man," Spark answered. Ivellios scoffed as if the news was uninteresting and sized the human king up in his own mind.

They traveled North, through the rain and reached the bottom of the mountain at nightfall. The swamp was there, with chirping frogs, crickets and strange growls heard all around. The swamp was dense with dark wicked trees, that would make it hard to travel through or to spot things clearly. A foul stench was in the air and a greenish-brown fog lingered everywhere, it seemed to spring up from the swamp water and muddy banks as the rain poured down onto it.

Ivellios and Thokk were able to see with their natural low light vision. Spark, however, was human and could not see in the dark. Ivellios made fun of Spark for not being able to see, but agreed that it would be better to travel in the day time. The three of them found a cave that was not too far away and made camp for the night.

Ivellios was on first watch, as the others slept. He sat, watching the rain fall outside the cave entrance. The cave was particularly small and Thokk, being a Half-Giant, was only able to get inside the cave by crawling. For a while, Ivellios sat in silence, only the rain making any noise. Ivellios thought it would be funny to play a trick on the Paladin while he slept and moved over towards his sleeping body. As soon as Ivellios tried to grab Spark, he unexpectedly jumped up and befroe Ivellios knew it, the Paladin's sword was at his throat! Ivellios backed off. Spark realized what was going on suddenly and told Ivellios not to do anything like that again. Spark had fought in the war against Tarsus, it was his instincts to react this way, to prevent armies sneaking up in the night to kill him in his sleep. He went back to sleep and left Ivellios to watch again.

Later in the night, still keeping watch, Ivellios noticed something move past the cave entrance. It was blue, moved quickly and made no noise, but he wasn't able to make out what it was. Ivellios woke Thokk and Spark, telling them what he saw. "Let's go investigate," said Spark. Ivellios, being pushy, ordered Spark, "you go first!" Spark looked back at Ivellios, raised his eyebrow and said, "fine ... at least some of us are brave here." Ivellios mocked him, as he left.

Spark disappeared, climbing up the side of a hill that the cave was beneath, out of view for Thokk and Ivellios. Spark had on very special armor, one of a kind mythral plate mail. The armor made no noise; Thokk and Ivellios could not hear a thing from the cave. Ivellios looked at Thokk, who was in crawling position and hopped on his back. Thokk jolted upward, flinging Ivellios off and to the outside of the cave. Outside, up the grassy slope above the cave, Ivellios could spot the Paladin, quietly moving toward the top of the hill. Spark was starring at the top of the hill as if he had spotted something that he was moving in on.

Ivellios, using his druidic power, shaped himself into the form of a hawk, outside the cave entrance. He flew over to the Paladin and hovered above him. Ivellios thought it would be funny to begin bugging the Paladin, since he did not like him much. He came down, flapping his wings to hover above Spark's head and began trying to poke at him with his claws, for fun. Spark, not realizing what was going on, thought some strange flying creature was attacking him. The Paladin turned around and swung his sword, a Holy Avenger, at his target without looking. A solid blow hit the hawk's body and another swing sliced the Hawk dead.

The hawk was launched a couple of feet back, gravity returned its body to the floor again, with a small thud. The hawk's dead form lay there for a moment - then suddenly, the dead hawk turned back into a dead Ivellios. Upon seeing the dead hawk become Ivellios, the Paladin realized what had happened and rushed over to heal him. He reached into his bag of holding and pulled out a healing potion to feed into Ivellios' mouth. Thokk poked his head out of the cave at this point and came up to them.

When Ivellios recovered, they began to decide what to do next. Just then, what they were looking for appeared out of no where. The blue form Ivellios saw previously, turned out to be an incorporeal warrior spirit. The warrior spirit appeared near the top of the hill. It was the image of a powerful warrior, wearing a style of plate mail from many ages prior to this one. The spirit was donned in symbols heralding him as a champion and follower of the Immortal IO. All expression in his face was dead, as he starred out at them with eyes underneath a helmet's face shield. The adventurers could see right through his body, it was blue in color and semitransparent. A resounding voice came from the spirit, "Why are you here?" Ivellios spoke, "to get the star stone." They all watched the spirit; it didn't move or speak. Ivellios began to ask another question and the spirit warrior vanished.

They went back to sleep and woke up the next day. They traveled back to the swamps in the morning. Mist still hung in the air, and with the density with which the trees in the swamp packed it, they had difficulty maneuvering their way through. The swamp waters they were forced to walk in, where generally about 2 feet deep. Ivellios, being 4'9", was almost halfway submersed in the wretched waters, while Thokk being 10 feet tall, had less of a problem with it.

While traveling through the swamp, Ivellios' keen perceptive skills picked up on something. He spotted an area of dense shrubs that looked out of place. Further investigating what he saw, Ivellios realized that the shrubs were the result of a spell that he was familiar with, plant growth. The spell had been used to block off an alleyway created by some trees, to hide the path there. The adventurers thought this might be a prospective place to search for the crypt and chopped their way through the shrubs. They walked the pathway beyond the shrubs, it led them to an open area of water.

In the opening, they spotted a cave in the trees just past it. To their right, a branch from one of the trees hanging out above the open waters had something attached to it. Three white, ropy strands were attached to the branch, each strand fell from the branch and into the murky water below. The strands looked like they were placed consecutively and seemed deliberately placed as well.

Ivellios walked over to the strands, through the water. The waters became progressively deeper the further he traveled into the opening. Fearing there would be a sudden drop in the waters, he stuck to the banks at the opening. Analyzing the strands, he realized that they were ropes made from web. Ivellios stepped closer to look further and stepped on top of something strange and out of place. Whatever it was seemed to be attached to the web ropes.

Spark trudged out into the opening, sinking as he walked into the waters. A loud splash was suddenly heard coming from the cave beyond the opening, they all looked. Nothing was there. A small ripple was seen in the water and moved to the left, disappearing. The ripple in the water looked similar to a water snake's motion for a moment before disappearing.

Suddenly, swamp water erupted outward from the middle of the clearing, splashing foul waters upon everyone around. Surfacing from the large waves made in the water, an enormous Black Dragon rose his head up out of the waters, roaring loud and violently! His face looked much like an elongated black skull, with horns on either side of his head, extending outward toward his snout. His mouth was gapped open, displaying many sharp teeth that dripped with rotting water; his scales looked strong and extremely black. The dragons neck extended out of the water and his head loomed over Spark, the Paladin who was now right next to him. His eyes looked sunken in, adding to his head's skull like features. Green eyes gazed down at the three, with looks of anger. The adventurers had trespassed into the dragon's den.

Acting without fear or surprise, Spark attacked before the dragon had a chance to. His Holy Sword was ready prior to the dragon surfacing. He whirled his sword at the dragon's neck, but missed. Thokk ran out into the waters, pulling his great sword out, a very large diamond blade that he had found in the mountains North of Kaza Tir long ago. His attacks also missing. The Black Dragon's neck curved as he turned his head to the left, pointing his gaze at Thokk with Ivellios too in his sight, beyond Thokk on the banks. His mouth made a hissing sound and a sudden stream of green acid sprayed out of his mouth hitting Thokk and Ivellios. The two tried to dodge the oncoming line of acid, but were unable to, and suffered acid burns all over. Ivellios was too surprised to act further!

The Paladin attacked again and began hacking his blade into the dragon's neck, chopping into him multiple times. The Paladin's Holy Sword, seemed to have an effect on evil creatures, like this dragon. Every hit caused the sword to glow white with divine energies, that further injured the dragon. Thokk joined in, damaging the dragon with the powerful blows. Though they had beaten the dragon harshly with their weapons, he was strong and still able to fight. He bit at Spark, who raised his sheild to block the dragon's deadly jaws from clamping onto him. The dragon's tongue tasted the shield and could sense its magical protective properties, he wanted the magical item for his treasure horde!

Ivellios regained clarity and daringly jumped into the swamp waters, running right to the dragon! By the time he reached the dragon, the swamp water was above his head and he blindly gabbed for the dragon. He cast a deadly spell, Harm, that drains a man or any creature of almost all of its life! He reached out and felt the dragon's neck, then released the evil energies of the spell. The spell caused the dragon to practically collapse.

The Black Dragon begged for his life then, raising his front claws to show defeat. Spark, being a Paladin whose goal it is to destroy evil beings, thought they should have ended his life then and there. The dragon begged, "please, I will never harm you again!" At Ivellios' suggestion, he had Spark use his divine magic, to cast Discern Lies on the Black Dragon, to see if he was telling the truth. Under the spell's magic, he should not be able to lie. The dragon repeated again that he would not ever harm them. He knew he was outmatched. Ivellios let him go, though Spark was ready to kill him, even then.

The dragon sank back into the waters and disappeared. He had mentioned too, that there was treasure in the cave beyond, that the adventurers could now take.

...to be continued...

Wandering in Kaza Tir- Friday the 13th! 3/13/09

Ivellios wandered through the streets of the half destroyed city, arriving at his destination: the magic shop. He was hoping to be able to buy cursed magical items from the shop, as this particular magic shop was known to carry the rarest items in the country. What he found when he arrived at the shop, however, was a half destroyed building that had been completely looted - a result of the city having been previously taken over by their enemies in Tarsus. The city was in shambles, very little rebuilding was happening because of the lack of able people in the city, most of them were in Tarsus fighting.

Turning around, Ivellios went back to the Crystal Castle to speak with the King, Tir. The Elven King met Ivellios in one of the gardens outside of his castle. After a discussion, where Ivellios asked the King for cursed magic items, the King determined that it was not a good idea to give them up without a specific reason for it. Ivellios decided to abandon the quest he had previously been given at this point, and decided to return to his grove. The King seemed concerned that their chance to turn the tides of war would fail without the adventurers help. He then professed that he would look for someone else to complete the task of retrieving the sword from Mount Valorn, to destroy the demon Vetis - since it seemed that the adventurers would not.

Leaving the Castle, Ivellios ran straight into the Hermit (that strange smelly old Wizard). The Hermit scolded Ivellios for abandoning the quest - he seemed extremely concerned for some reason. The Hermit only came out from hiding at specific times (no one knew why), to advise certain heros throughout time. The fact that Ivellios was abandoning a quest that he had told him to go on, seemed to make him more than unhappy. He told Ivellios to come seek him out when he had "gained some good sense."

Ivellios returned to his grove (in the Northern part of the Nemorian Woods), he found that all of his followers had been sitting there bored. With all of the fighting in the North and the attacks within the cities throughout Kaza Tir's countryside, his followers had begun to feel slightly useless sitting in the grove. The Half-Giant Gladiators complained that they wanted to seek glory in combat, with all that was going on. Ivellios decided to seek out his old friend - The Sorcerer - who he knew could create a teleportation circle for his followers to be transfered into battle.

Meanwhile... Thokk was still in the Capital City, wandering the streets of Kaza Tir. Thokk, still being thanked by the people as he walked through the streets, encountered an Elf. The Elf said that he had come from Stalkbrow (a Barony in the Nemorian Woods, run by Elves). He had come with a gift for Thokk, a special bow that they had made for him, in thanks of saving the King. It was the hope of the Elves from Stalkbrow that Thokk would be able to use this weapon to assist himself and his comrades in adventures to help the kingdom. The bow he had been given was a Mighty Composite Longbow... but bigger, since this one was meant to be wielded by Half Giants. A helmet came with the bow, it was a metal cap with decorative wings displayed above a face shield. The face shield of the helmet contained two slits where the user looked out from. When activated, the wearer could use the helmet to see at a greater distance than normal. The Nemorian bow could shoot many times farther than an average bow - in combination with this helmet, the user could fire at foes from a great distance.

Later that day, Thokk was suddenly contacted by Zoron (who had a telepathic link with him). Zoron had been wandering a bazar that had been set up in the city, tents that the people were selling things from to survive and to keep life going amidst all of the destruction. It was there that Zoron had run into someone who was looking for Thokk. Word of Thokk's great power and heroism had been heard of throughout the lands, especially after he had united the Barbarian Nation's tribes to help fight against Tarsus (and not to mention the rescue of the King he and his companions had achieved). It was through this recognition that a Half Elf warrior had heard of him - she had come to seek him out; she wished to follow him and wanted to be the queen of whatever empire he lead.

Zoron met Thokk near the front of the Crystal Castle and brough the Half Elf with him. Zoron, though a dragon, was shape shifted into the form of a human to disguise himself from most people... though his shadow still revealed that he was a dragon if someone looked at it. The Half-Elf noticed this about him though she did not speak about it as she walked behind him toward Thokk. She introduced herself as Illandria, she was a powerful Arcane Archer (combining archery and magic to be used together) - a very good looking Half Elf too. Thokk accepted her as a follower... though wasn't so sure about her being a queen to his barony.

After a brief side trek to Loque's Keep in Mount Darokin (where Ivellios had fun stirring up people in a bar at the Keep, with the use of a magical liquor) Ivellios returned to the grove with The Sorcerer and some of Loques followers (who were keeping an eye on The Sorcerer). There, they met up with Thokk, Zoron and Illandria. After some discussion with Ivellios' followers, they all determined that they the best course of action for their small-time militia to take, was to seek out a band of evil orcs within the Nemorian woods, that had been causing trouble and distracting efforts for help in the war. Everyone gathered and began forming small groups that would go out to find various dungeons that were hidden in the woods, where the orcs were. Each group was to infiltrate and destroy the orcs throughout each dungeon. Ivellios and Thokk sought help from the Elves in Stalkbrow (an elven Barony in the Nemorian Woods), they agreed to assist with what men they could spare.

That eve in the grove, they had a celebration. Ivellios and Illandira used their skills with magic to create a show for all of the people in the grove. The entire grove watched as Ivellios stole the show with his creative use of combining different magical skills together.

Ivellios had been contemplating on how he could gain deity ranks, powers that mortals could gain that were leaning into the steps toward god-hood and Immortality - while remaining mortal. He had been thinking about it since he had battled the dark Druid Darbek who had displayed powers like this. Someone in his grove mentioned to him that he had recently learned that such a power was known to exist somewhere in Mount Valorn ... mysteriously the source the person had learned the information from disappeared afterward, never to be seen again. Ivellios began to reconsider whether to take on the quest of climbing Mount Valorn, to seek audience with the great Immortal IO - the only one who could grant him such information as to the whereabouts to such powers.

In the grassy planes, somewhere West of the town, Tothmeer... a magical gate opened above the grassy floor; the result of a spell cast by the Sorcerer Dragon, Zoron (who was currently cursed to live in an Elf body). The gate spell appeared on the planes like a circular doorway with no frame; it was visibly misplaced in the grassy planes, as it revealed a fiery dungeon beyond it's yawning gap. The gate opened up from the plane that the adventurers were currently trying to escape: The Fire God's Realm. The gate revealed a large dungeon room, red with heat and a large iron furnace in the middle of the room. The adventurers: Ivellios, Thokk, Bellaphron, Zoron and Silverglade, stood with several spectral forces that they had unleashed from the furnace (the former prison cell the specter souls had each been placed in by the Fire God, since they were each his enemy). One of these spectral images was the King of Kaza Tir: King Tir Brighlingsea himself... er.. his bodiless soul at least. A Fire Titan lay dead beneath their feet, the former guardian of the dungeon room.

With the gate spell allowing the adventurers a way to return home, they each began to exit the Fire God's realm. The adventurers (being kind) allowed the souls they saved to go through the gate first: King Tir, a Titan and the soul of three powerful Elementals walked through the gate and into the Prime Plane. Fellow party members Zoron, Silverglade and Bellaphron went next, leaving Thokk and Ivellios the only members left to go through the gate.

Somehow, as Bellaphron was going through the gate, the Fire God was able to sense this (...the Fire God is normally able to sense all things in his own plane immediately, but was distracted by another force... until now). As soon as the Fire God sensed the intruders of his realm, he realized they were escaping with his prisoners; he immediately teleported in front of Ivellios and Thokk, blocking the gate they were about to exit!

The Fire God stood before them, the Immortal himself -in his true form. He appeared as a human warrior wearing charred black armor - full plate mail, carrying a sword in sheath and shield on back. His body emanated heat and his eyes were made of intense fire, that flickered wildly from beneath his open eyelids. He stood, arms crossed at his chest, glaring with intense anger at Thokk and Ivellios.

Quicker than they were, the Fire God attacked immediately; a wave of intense heat blasted out from his body. The effects of this magical heat drained a large amount of power and life force from the Druid, Ivellios. Thokk seemed unaffected, luckily... Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the gate beyond the Fire God, distracting the evil Immortal momentarily. Thokk and Ivellios escaped, dodging past the Fire God and through the gate as the portal closed behind them immediately.

The white light seemed to come from the powers of the natural world, Nature herself. The adventurers were safe on the planes of Kaza Tir again. The souls of the elementals thanked the group, assuring them that they would be rewarded in the future when they gained their power back and that they were welcome at any time on their plane in their respective homes. The Titan thanked them too, he had previously mentioned that his former body was destroyed though and that he needed a new one.

Ivellios mentioned that it was no longer safe to stay in the grass planes where they had appeared in and suggested that they go to the Capital City of Kaza Tir, to reunite Tir with his body, once again. The druid, using the spell Wind Walk, turned the group into a vaporous cloud that could travel quickly through air; they headed straight to the capital.

The capital, a great city surrounded by a wall of green emerald stone with a large castle made completely out of crystal in its center, had been under the attack of guerrilla forces for some time. Kaza Tir's army had gone to attack Tarsus with most of its military power in the North, leaving Kaza Tir vulnerable to small, well planned attacks by the enemy. The waters in the well had been poisoned and the guards barracks had been obliterated. As they approached from the sky, the adventurers saw devilish Pit Fiends circling the city, their leathery bat-like wings flapping awkwardly to keep them in the air. The Pit Fiends were wreaking havoc on the people below in the city, killing them when they could. Much of the city seemed to be destroyed, rubble lay everywhere. The King grew sad at the sight of this, as the adventurers flew unnoticed past the Pit Fiends, to the castle doors.

As soon as they flew close enough to the castle doors, the spell Ivellios had used turned off. An anti-magic wall surrounded the castle for protection from intruders using magic. All of the group appeared in their regular forms very suddenly above the door and fell 15 feet to the ground.

Two well armored Elf guards, posted at the doors jumped up with spears in their hands, alerted by the groups presence. Looking up, the two Elven guards saw the floating specter of Tir Brighlingsea with the other souls, as the rest of the group began to get up from the ground. The Elves bowed immediately at the site of their king, wondering how it could be that he had returned.

A meeting was held in the throne room of the castle and the King's body was brought from secrecy and into the throne. The important people of the kingdom all watched as the king's body was placed in the throne. King Tir's soul floated to his body and sat inside of it once again - after a long absence. The body's eyes opened looking across the throne room at his court; it had been such a long time since Tir had felt the regularity of his own body that it seemed new again. Loud, victorious cheers echoed throughout the throne room by the people inside. The cheers from the throne room carried out into the halls.

King Tir closed his eyes again and gripped his hands onto the arms of his crystal throne. Bowing his head, an intense flash was seen as he unlocked a great protective magic from the castle onto the city surrounding it. The walls of the castle began to glow and a semi-transparent, blue energy-shield formed outside, in a dome shape around the city, protecting it again.

The Pit Fiends that were attacking the people became filled with fright as the castle's divine magic radiated outward; they all fled from the city as fast as they could, away from the now glowing Crystal Castle. Flying away from the castle to exit the city, the Pit Fiends were forced to encounter the blue energy-shield that was now in place at the cities borders. The devils took damage as they moved through it to the outskirts of the city beyond the wall; some of them dropped dead because of this and fell from the sky.

As it goes, Half-Giants are moody people. An aspect of their alignment changes daily and today Thokk happened to be consumed by Chaos and Evil... Being in the throne room for Thokk at that time, turned out to be less than pleasant. Feeling the effects that the castle now had upon chaos and evil, Thokk ran out of the castle as fast as the Pit Fiends fled the city. He ran out the front gates of the castle, asked to be led out by the guards through the garden maze in front of the castle and left the front gates of the maze there. He dug a hole right in front of the gates to hide!

Inside the castle throne room, King Tir thanked Ivellios and the group for coming to his rescue and for returning his soul to its body. Magical gifts of great value were given to the adventurers as thanks. Amidst those present in the throne room at that time, was the odd, but highly powerful magician known as The Hermit. The Hermit was given his name because no one alive seemed to know his real name and also because he seemed to have been alive for much longer than humans were known to live -having made appearances in historical texts. The Hermit never seemed to be part of any one group, did not appear to be an Immortal himself and did not seem to have any specific agenda, other than to gain power; yet, he seemed to appear at given times to (what seemed like random) people in the world, to give them integral advice. So, there he was, in the throne room, doing just that. The Hermit approached Ivellios, he was covered in dirty brown robes, smelled funny and looked as if he had not bathed in months.

The Hermit spoke to the King and Ivellios at once, telling them of a fact that Ivellios knew of, but that the King and most of his court did not: The Avenger, Lord Veneficus, was not in his right mind; the reason for his fall from Good into Evil, was due to an Evil demon known as Vetis who possessed his body. The demon, Vetis, kept Veneficus' mind aware enough to see all of the disaster that Vetis was commiting in controlling his body like a puppet to the demon's advantage. It was a horrible fate, as the demon was one of Veneficus' mortal enemies.

The Hermit said that there was hope, however, and that he suggested that Ivellios and Thokk pursue a mission that might prove worthy of saving Veneficus while giving a chance for the demon to be slain. He told them of a mountain, two times the size of Mount Darokin (30,000 feet up), where, given the proper enticing, the greatest of all of the Immortals, IO, could be met. There, in a plea to IO, could the adventurers gain a sword eligible to strike the demon down. IO would also be able to tell the adventurers how to separate the demon from Veneficus' body, a task that is essential because Veneficus is the only one that could kill the demon with the sword.

Outside the castle, word had spread that the adventurers had brought the king back to safety and many of the towns people began giving thanks to the adventurers, when they spotted them. Ivellios used this recognition to win the people even more and gave the lower class gold during an event he set up. The King allowed the Elemental souls passage back to their planes, via the power his Sorcerers held. The soul of the Titan remained in the castle as they began to make plans to find him a new body. The following day, Thokk was in a different mood and was able to approach the castle (Chaotic Good today). There Ivellios, Thokk, Silverglade and Zoron (who the king helped turn back into his regular dragon form) prepared to travel to the mountain.

The mountain was in a territory far away from their home continent, Mainland. The territory was was made of multiple kingdoms, it was a place known as The Crown of Bulvi, only the Hermit was able to teleport them there. He had instructed the adventurers to find a church in the swamps below the mountain, where the could fetch a star stone that was protected in the church, below in its crypt. The star stone would then need to be brought to the top of the mountain. The swamp as well as climbing the mountain involved various tests to prove the adventurers worth to the Immortal IO; depending on how they did, they could either please the Immortal greatly - or incite her wrath. The adventurers prepared themselves in Kaza Tir, the Hermit awaited them.

The D&D Game Summary: From the Beginning

A long time ago... in a galaxy far, far away... farther than that... keep going... keeeeeeeeep going... oops you passed it, go back a little... right there!.... yeah, it happened there!

Chapter 1

The game began with the characters waking up in a musty dungeon cell. Three of the walls, the ceiling and the floor were all made of stone, but a fourth wall was made of iron bars! The PCs quickly discovered that they were in jail. Not remembering much of who they were, they slowly regained their memory as they figured a way passed their Hobgoblin jailer Jurge. Along with their (not so likable jail companion) Axel, the group was able to plan and execute their escape from the prison. Together, Ivellios, Thokk, Loque and the rest escaped... well, except for Axel who died in the kitchen fighting Zombies (served the greedy fat guy right, he was always trying to take the group's money).

Chapter 2

After escaping the dungeon (which they learned was beneath the castle of the wizard Zanzer Tem), the group fled south. The adventurers learned that Zanzer enslaved people to work in his slat mines! Chased by Zanzer's Goblin and Hobgoblin minions, they headed through the woods only to end up in a place known as the Rolling Meadows. In the Rolling Meadows, the land shifts and changes as if by magic; hills, depressions in the land and caves leading into subterranean areas randomly appear in these meadows. The adventurers decided it was a good way to escape Zanzer Tem and entered into one of the caves that appeared in front of them.

After entering the cave, they traveled through various tunnels underneath the ground. The tunnels and dirt shifted and moved the same way that the hills did, shaping new passages and closing off old passages all around the group. The entire group eventually landed in a cavern where a small lake was. The lake contained strange water spirits that formed whirlpools in the water, attempting to drown the adventurers. After traveling through the cave, fighting monsters... and sometimes each other...they finally made it out, and with a lot of cool treasure too!

Chapter 3

Ivellios, Loque, Thokk and the rest, all made their way to the nearest town: Port Dale. There at Port Dale, Loque the Avenger gathered some followers (Pirates!) to help him find a Keep in Mt. Darokin. Though Ivellios wanted to go and burn Zanzer Tem to a crisp, he eventually went with Loque. The Keep that Loque gained was a prize he achieved through (very luckily) picking from a Deck of Many Things found in the tunnels (Actually, all of the adventurers ended up with quite a bit of cool treasure from that cave... I guess the gods were smiling every time the group was happy about getting treasure... WHATEVER).

With their new found friend Jack (a small time pirate captain) and the rest of the pirates from Port Dale, the group traveled to Mt. Darokin. They headed North across the planes for a few days. The mountain rises 15,000 feet up and is surrounded by flat planes, a very noticeable mountain, it's peek was higher than the Spring clouds of those days. The mountain was once home to dwarves (who love mountains). The dwarves who had previously lived there were chased out or killed by a powerful red dragon named Kyronite (red dragons love to kill dwarves who love mountains). Kyronite had since disappeared and the mountain was taken over by a clan of fire giants who commanded an army of Ettin (13 foot tall, two headed creatures that can fight with a weapon in each hand... GOOD TIMES). Little annoying Goblins, who made traps in the mountains, were also living with the Fire Giants and Ettin.

One night on their way to the mountain, Loque was keeping watch as the others in the group slept underneath the stars and the 20 moons that circle Carcerus. Loque, who is a follower to the powerful Immortal Beldor, sensed something going on towards the base of the mountains that night. Loque traveled over to the area, leaving his companions behind. In the lower parts of the mountain, he discovered a Nightmare Horse that had been captured by some Medusa. In an attempt to rescue the beast from the Medusa, Loque heroically... was turned to stone by one of the Medusa.

Thokk, who Loque had asked to keep watch when he left began to wonder where Loque was after he had not returned quickly. Thokk, the brave, Half-Giant Barbarian went to investigate the situation. When he discovered Loque had been turned to stone, he quickly jumped into save the day and was turned to stone by a Medusa also. By this time, Aramil the Paladin (also Loque's brother) and Ivellios the Druid had already come to investigate. A scuffle broke out between Aramil, Ivellios and a Medusa that was lurking around. Aramil and Ivellios eventually defeated the Medusas and saved their friends. When all was well, Loque released the Nightmare and it became his companion and steed.

Chapter 4

After combat encounters with hobgoblins toting prisoners and a group of trolls in fire resistant armor, and after a brief encounter involving a cloud fortress and Thokk's finding of a red dragon hatchling (who soon became his good friend Zoron), the group had finally made it to the roadways leading into Mt. Darokin.

Upon traveling into the mountains they discovered several pathways. Chimeras residing near the lower roads, plagued the adventurers with their attacks and killed some of their pirate followers. The adventurers became lost and came upon a temple they did not expect to find.

The temple was built into the side of the mountain and four pillars at the front of the temple, that were sculpted to look like giant dwarves, turned out to be powerful Golem guardians. The adventurers persisted in entering the temple, even with all of the risk that the powerful Golem guardians presented (the Golems shot green magical rays out of their eyes at the adventurers as they would try to pass them to get to the doorways). With some distractions from their pirate followers, the adventurers were able to make it inside the strange temple.

On an upper level inside the temple, the group discovered a danger that would lead their nation into war... though they did not know it at that time. The adventurers discovered three treasure chests, all of them trapped with deadly magical fire. The adventurers found ways to open them and still survive. The treasures turned out to be ancient artifacts. The treasure chests also released Immortals that had been trapped there. The Immortals, as well as the artifacts, were part of the Sphere of Entropy. Several Spheres of power govern the multi-verse, the Sphere of Entropy governs decay and death (so you can imagine how happy all of the other Immortals looking down at the Prime Plane felt that day).

Grabbing the treasure they found, they group fled the temple, having to avoid more attacks from the giant Dwarf Golems outside. Some of the members were struck dead by the Golems on their way out, one of them being Thokk the Half-Giant Barbarian.

Side Note: Some History

Each sphere in the universe (Time, Thought, Matter, Energy and Entropy) has a part in balancing the essential elements that exist in the world and worlds beyond. The Prime Plane (the plane where the planet Carceres and its surrounding universe reside) is the only plane where all of the spheres can exist together; the Prime Plane is a place of power for the Immortals that exist in their own planes (and it is why the Immortals seek out followers on the Prime Plane - more power).

The Immortals that the group released were three different Immortals (one in each chest) that had been trapped and bound to the treasure chests that they opened. Other powerful adventurers from long ago, with the help of the Immortals that they followed, were able to catch the Immortals of Entropy and hide them in the treasure chests that the adventurers found. When the treasure chests were opened by the adventurers that day, powers of great chaos and evil began to dominate the lands.

Strange things had already been happening in Tarsus (the country just North of Kaza Tir) before this. The King of Tarsus (Venificus), a Lawful Good Paladin, had become consumed with Evil for an unknown reason and had made pacts with demons in the Fire God's realm (the Fire God being another Immortal of Chaos and Evil, but not associated with Entropy); Tarsus had become a place governed by tyranny almost over night.

The Paladins who had previously followed Venificus either joined him or fled Tarsus to join Kaza Tir. When the Immortals of Entropy were released that day, the adventurers saw a black sky -in mid day- and felt uneasy; it was only a matter of time before their release caused the followers of this sphere to gain power. When Entropy gained power, the followers of its sphere on the Prime Plane came to support Venificus. Great power was gained quickly in Tarsus with the forces of Entropy and demons of the Fire God uniting under Venificus... but why Venificus... a Paladin who turned Avenger (an evil Paladin). Furthermore, what turned Venificus towards evil?

Chapter 5

>>>More of the story will be told later, check back again for later chapters. Once all of the past stories have been written here, this blog will be used to report all of the current game's stories.<<<
